Let’s finally take action on our goals this year.
New year. New
unachievable goals. Each year I become more and more frustrated with myself and with all the other individuals who are unable to achieve their dreams and goals. You know yourself better than anyone else does. You know what you are capable of achieving. This is not meant to undermine all of your aspirations and life-long dreams because it IS possible to accomplish even the most exaggerated goals. But, it is important that our yearly (and life) goals resonate and align with our current life-situation and our higher selves.
What are you trying to accomplish this year? What path will you take to achieve these goals? Are your goals generic and mimicked? Or, do your goals align with your personal values and priorities?
How to Set your Goals
Figure out what you are attracted to:
Don’t question why you are attracted to the things that you are attracted to. I am attracted to certain people, places and things for no apparent reason at all. If you are attracted to a certain thing (or goal in this instance), there is a reason for it. Make sure you truly connect with your most authentic desires when picking your goals. You need to set and approach your goals from a place of love and light. In order for you to successfully achieve your goals, they must come from a place of authenticity. Intrinsic /Authentic goals revolve around your personal growth, true passions and core values. When you set authentic goals, you will be overwhelmed with happiness and positivity and will be motivated to take any course of action you need to achieve these goals.
Bring joy and products to other people and abundance will come to you. I am a big believer in karma and energy flow. If you take time out of your “busy” schedule to spread positivity and goods, the universe will reward you. But, giving service MUST be out of your own freewill and true intentions. There are a lot of people who only participate in charitable giving when it focuses on personal gain. Inauthentic actions will be ignored by the universe. When we take care of our spaces and of others, abundance will flow into our lives. The Law of Karma, in its simplest interpretation, suggests that “you get what you give.” If you radiate more positivity and service into the world, you are destined to receive good karma back.
First you must achieve the goal in your thoughts. One of the axiomatic truths of metaphysics is that “thoughts are things” (Charles Fillmore). Our mind has the possibility to turn our thoughts into material entities. Think about your goal regularly, think about it consistently and think about it positively. I always lived with this notion: “Some thoughts are passing and some are meant to be manifested” – Nicole Nesci (me). If you have a reoccurring thought, it is your subconscious telling and reminding you to take action on it. A “reoccurring thought” is something you think about basically everyday for the span of months or years.
Fuck everyone’s opinions:
I think one of the biggest hindrances a lot of people face when setting and achieving goals are the negative, external energies that surround them. Personally, I have stopped sharing my goals with people (even with my closest friends and family). Everyone has their own opinions and judgments. Even the slightest discernment can impact your journey towards being successful, happy and free. I have paused many of my goals because of negative and unsupportive reactions I have received from family members, close friends and acquaintances – This is one of my biggest regrets. Don’t let external negativity come in-between you and your goals. You are capable of achieving great things all by yourself.
How to Manifest your Goals
You need to take positive action towards our goals. A goal without action is just a wish. When you start putting action into making your goals a reality, you will feel better in your everyday life. Plan out your actions. Action plans require thoughts and deliberation. You can’t begin to visualize your goal until you analyze all the options needed to reach this goal. Think about the outcome. How will you feel when you accomplish these goals? Reflect on that feeling.
What does action mean:
– Thinking about your goal (constantly and positively)
– Writing down your goal (in present tense)
– Performing gratitude each time you get closer to this goal
Be aware that things that affect us in our daily life sometimes derail us from our dreams and goals. When this happens, we need to continue to focus in WHY these are our goals. Stop making excuses. We have set these goals FOR A REASON. Give up any idea you have of failure. If you are unable to achieve your goals this year, it was not meant to be. Maybe you came up with goals that were not authentically meant for you, or unconsciously you may have negativity and blockages that are not allowing this to come into your life. Maybe you think you don’t deserve this or maybe deep down you know that this goal you created is inauthentic. When your goal reflects your higher and greater self, the universe will work in your favour to help you achieve it.
